The wheel core is one-piece grey cast iron machined to a concentric run-out of <0.3 mm. Cast iron retains structural strength far above the melting point of most rubber or nylon treads and, backed by a high-temperature grease pack, this model operates continuously from –30 °C to +300 °C. Unlike plain-bore wheels that can grind under load, a fully caged ball-bearing race reduces push-pull force by up to 35 %.
